GM-Hertz EV Plan, Solar Sono on Semifinals, Fisker and Wallbox: Car News Today

Car rental giant Hertz plans to order 175,000 GM EVs in 5 years. According to the companies, the models likely to be purchased under the plan will span a wide range of types, sizes and price points, and the deal will begin with the Bolt EV and EUV models to be delivered in early 2023. .
Fisker has confirmed the Wallbox is Official partner for home chargersand is offering the company’s chargers for purchase through the Fisker website for the US, Canada, and Europe. That would likely allow funding for the purchase of home charging hardware when buying a new car.
And German startup Sono Motors has revealed a set of tools that could enable solar retrofits for buses or pickup trucks, greatly increasing their effectiveness. For example, in a refrigerated truck, solar will cover half of the truck’s cooling energy needs.
