GM suspends paid advertising on Twitter According to Reuters

(Reuters) – General Motors Co (NYSE:) said late Friday that it had temporarily stopped paid advertising on Twitter after Elon Musk completed his takeover of the social media company.
The largest U.S. automaker said it is “working with Twitter to understand the direction of their new-owned platform. As a business normal with a significant change to the platform. media, we’ve paused our paid advertising.”
Musk is also the chief executive officer of rival Tesla of GM (NASDAQ:) Inc.
GM said its “customer care interactions on Twitter will continue.”
