A GoFundMe was given to a woman in the critical care unit at Auburn Community Hospital.
Alexandra Giordano has been at the hospital since November 4, and is currently on a ventilator in a medically induced coma.
They said her illness was sudden and a “complete shock” to her family on the fundraiser. They are currently in the process of transferring her to another facility for further care.
GoFundMe has a goal of $25,000 and raised a little over $11,000 as of Thursday afternoon. It is hosted by her daughter, Ariana Giordano, and stepdaughter, Bridgett Mattes.
“Anyone who knows Alexandra knows she’s kind, selfless, and generous. She would take off her top to show her back to help anyone, including strangers. She lived her life to the fullest with her heart in her hands. clothes and show compassion to people, the site says.
