Good Burger 2 Set at Paramount+ With Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell – The Hollywood Reporter

Delicious burgers 2sequel to the iconic ’90s film, has been greenlit at Paramount+ and Nickelodeon Studios.

Kenan Thompson, who plays Dexter Reed, and Kel Mitchell, who plays the original cashier, Ed, announced the news on Tonight’s Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Friday.

“I can’t believe it’s been over 25 years since Good Burger gave birth to great customer service!” Thompson said. “To be a part of what so many generations have loved has made me so proud and now to be back where it all started with the sequel is surreal!”

With Thompson and Mitchell reprising their roles, the film will follow them as they reunite in the present day at the Good Burger fast food restaurant with a new set of employees. Africa Traill (central region, Brooklyn Nine-Nine And Single Drunk Female) will direct the film, with Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert (All And delicious burgers) serves as a writer and executive producer.

“Ed is one of those timeless characters that has brought so much joy and laughter to fans, and it is fortunate to still be able to do so after all these years,” Mitchell added. “It’s great to come back and continue the stories of Dex, Ed, and Good Burger for both the grown-ups and their children.”

Production will begin in May, with a launch expected later this year.

Thompson is represented by UTA and managed by Michael Goldman. Mitchell is also represented by UTA and managed by Alex Goodman at Levity Live.
