Google chat: Google is adding red banners to Chat: What they mean for you

Google will add magenta warning banners to Chat to alert people to suspicious invites/links that could be a cover for cheat and/or malware based attacks. This feature has been rolled out and will be available on both mobile and desktop versions of Google Chat in a few weeks from now for users who haven’t.
Whenever a message is potentially harmful to Chat, Google will attempt to flag it with this message inside a magenta box:
“This invitation is suspicious
This chat contains links to known phishing websites that may try to steal your information “which you can answer by”Block‘ or ‘Still Accept’.
Such warning signs in a large, red banner will appear with an invitation “from users with personal Google Accounts”.
While the new feature is not a great method to prevent malware from entering your device through Chat messages, it can certainly be effective in keeping users curious. snooping on every message they receive, especially if it has a link.
New ‘red alert’ feature for Google Chat will be ‘available to all Google Workspace customers as well as former G Suite Basic and Business customers” and also “users with personal Google Accounts”.
This feature is not entirely new to other Google Suite services, and some iterations of it have been in Gmail and Google Drive for some time. The feature has also been rolled out to other Google Suite apps like Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and may take some time to reach customers globally.
