Android 13: What new features does it offer?

The Android 13 update includes a new permission setting that lets you manage which apps send you notifications. It includes better permission settings to cooperate with nearby devices. It contains brand new ‘Material You’ design language elements, allowing you to match app icon colors with the theme and select text in front of the app, among other things. It also comes with better controls over privacy and security. For example, with Android 13, you’ll be able to choose between ‘Photos and videos’ and ‘Music and audio’ when the app asks you to allow file access. Before that it was limited to ‘Files and Media’ which was used to give access to the entire internal storage.

Not just for smartphones, but for tablets, Android 13 offers more multitasking options. This comes with a newly updated taskbar through which you can easily switch between apps as well as being able to use two apps side-by-side in split-screen view. Users can also drop any application from the gallery onto the home screen at will.
