GoPro Volta was launched in India on Friday, as the camera and drone maker’s new battery and camera grip. The Volta grip combines with a standard GoPro battery to power extended shooting, up to 4 hours of 5.3K recording, the company says. The grip comes with many features including built-in camera buttons for one-handed camera control. The Volta can also be used as a wireless camera control and can be used as a tripod. The grip is compatible with many GoPro cameras including the Hero 10 Black. Volta can be used to charge any compatible USB Type-C device.
GoPro Volta price in India, availability
The Go pro Volta has been valued at Rs. 13,500 and will be available from the company’s imaging and online partners from May 16. To recall, GoPro launched the Volta handheld alongside the GoPro Hero 10 Black Creator Edition camera at the end of March, with price 129.99 dollars (about 10,000 Rupees).

The GoPro Volta comes with a built-in battery that is said to be able to deliver up to 4 hours of 5.3K recording at 30fps. The grip comes with an input power of 5V/3A and an output power of 5V/2.4A.
The 4,900mAh battery combines with the camera’s standard battery to triple the normal battery capacity. The built-in camera buttons on the Volta are intended for easy one-handed control and allow the user to power on/off, start/stop, capture and switch modes.
The grip comes with a built-in tripod that can be used for steady shots. Users will also be able to wirelessly control the camera from up to 98 feet (30 meters). Volta-sported mounting fingers help the grip to grip the backpack easily.
Volta’s weatherproof design features status lights for battery life and camera modes. The grip is compatible with many GoPro cameras including the Hero 10 Black, Hero 9 Black, and Hero 8 Black among others.
The Volta can be charged in under 2.5 hours with the GoPro super charger, the company claims. The grip can also be used to charge any compatible USB Type-C device, including GoPro Max and older GoPro cameras.
