Grant Money For Preventing Wolf Attacks Available To MN Livestock Producers – WCCO

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Minnesota livestock producers can now apply for added grant money aimed towards stopping wolf assaults.

On Monday, the Minnesota Division of Agriculture (MDA) launched that $60,000 in new money is obtainable, with functions due on Jan. 24, 2022. It’s the fifth spherical of funding by the Wolf-Livestock Battle Prevention Grants, which began in 2017.

MDA says the grants current reimbursement for authorised practices that forestall wolves from attacking livestock, along with guard animals, wolf-barriers and shelters.
