In the image, two overlapping spiral galaxies captured by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope known as SDSS J115331 and LEDA 2073461, are located more than a billion light-years from Earth. “Although it appears to be colliding in this image, the alignment of the two galaxies may be purely coincidental – the two do not actually interact.
