Great pictures! NASA’s Hubble Telescope just captured the colliding galaxies – ships passing in the night

An astonishing image in which two galaxies appear to overlap has been captured by NASA’s Hubble Telescope. Are they really colliding? Learn it here.

Have you seen the image where the two galaxies appear to collide? Well, that’s rare. However, you can see great pictures right now. Yes, NASA’s Hubble Telescope captured the same. It may be noted that the galaxies in the image appear to be colliding, but amazingly, they are not interacting at all. Sharing images of galaxies on its official Twitter account, the Hubble Space Telescope tweeted: “It’s all about perspective! In this #HubbleFriday image these two galaxies appear to collide – in reality, they don’t interact and can look like overnight ships.”

In the image, two overlapping spiral galaxies captured by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope known as SDSS J115331 and LEDA 2073461, are located more than a billion light-years from Earth. “Although it appears to be colliding in this image, the alignment of the two galaxies may be purely coincidental – the two do not actually interact. While the two galaxies may simply be children. passing by during the night, Hubble captured another dazzling array of galaxies that actually interact,” NASA said and provides click insights.

This image is one of many Hubble observations that delve into the highlights of the Galaxy Zoo project. Originally founded in 2007, Galaxy Zoo and its successors are massive citizen science projects that collect galactic taxa from hundreds of thousands of volunteers. These volunteers categorize galaxies that are imaged with robotic telescopes and are often the first to lay eyes on an astronomical object.

NASA further announced that over the course of the original Galactic Zoo project, volunteers discovered a variety of strange and amazing galaxies such as the unusual tri-pronged spiral and ring galaxies. collide.

Do you know?

How much do you know about NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope? The Hubble Telescope is an international collaborative project between NASA and ESA. The Telescope’s mirror-based optics collect and focus light from space for scientific analysis and guiding instruments. The optical system, known as the Optical Telescope Council (OTA), provides Hubble with a unique view of the universe by collecting infrared, visible, and ultraviolet light. However, it was surpassed by the newer and more powerful James Webb Space Telescope.
