Adam Driver, Greta Gerwigand Noah Baumbach strike again. Can we call this the new Trinity? Netflix has announced a new trailer for the trilogy’s latest creation, White noisebased Novel of the same name by Don DeLillo.
The goal in the movie, at least in the teaser, is to keep the kids safe. Jack (Driver) and his wife, Babette (Gerwig), are driving with their children as the world is facing disaster. The “Air Poison Event” is changing everything that people expect.
“I want to know how scared I am,” Jack’s youngest daughter said as she looked at the cars of other families around her. Some are panicking. The others were laughing, completely ignoring the events of the world.
Despite the book’s many differences, Netflix wasted no time in marketing White noise like their hugely popular fantasy series Strange things. The music is identical. And the trailer has the same 1980s aesthetic – although the exact era of the plot hasn’t been fully revealed, it looks like it took place the same year as the book was released, 1985. Just See those glasses and Greta Gerwig’s curly-haired mop.
Fans really have Notice the similarities (again, Netflix is doing a great job of getting fans of the series to come see the movie) —but the book really White noise based on bears that are not the same as Strange things. The story follows Jack, a Hitler studies professor who must save his wife Babette and his four children/stepchildren from chemical traces oozing around his neighborhood after a train accident .
Baumbach worked with Driver (his filmmaking partner) and Gerwig (his life partner) on a number of occasions before White noise. Starred drivers Marriage Story, Stories of Meyerowitzand When we are youngwhile Gerwig appeared in American lover and Greenberg. The couple shared a screen in Frances Ha. Furthermore, Baumbach and Gerwig share the task of writing the script for the highly anticipated film Barbie doll movie.
Needless to say, White noise It’s a family thing. After debuting at nearly every film festival imaginable (Venice Film Festival, New York, BFI London Film Festival), White noise will land on Netflix later this year.
