Greta Van Fleet fans defied the weather to camp for a hometown concert

SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) – Fans lined up outside the Dow Event Center despite the cold to see mid-Michigan native Greta Van Fleet perform live in concert.

Brooke, a fan from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and her friend Ayumi from Los Angeles, California have been camping at the center since 5 p.m. on March 12.

Both fans said they were freezing, but were excited to see the band perform.

“Freezing but it will all be worth it,” Brooke said. “We have heaters in our gloves. Equip Carhartt gear to keep warm. However, they added fire to the set to warm us up. “

Brooke says this is her third time seeing the band live. Ayumi has seen the band perform live 10 times.

“We’re ready, it’s going to be great,” Ayumi said.

Dow stores open at 5:30 pm. Performances with special guests RIVAL SONS and The Velveteers start at 7:00pm

The center is encouraging fans to arrive early to avoid traffic jams. Masks are recommended.
