Gucci and MLB come out together for a new pre-fall collection of celebrity team outfits for luxury sports enthusiasts.

Gucci’s Alessandro Michele is expanding the brand’s maximal vision, and he’s no stranger to combining everything in sight. Gucci announces Gucci x MLB partnership on April 14 on their website. With an official MLB In partnership, Gucci is raising the bar even higher and setting the stage for blended luxury.

The Italian design brand promises a collaboration with MLB that combines fashion and function while highlighting your favorite clubs. Gucci’s VAULT initiative will unveil the range, which includes varsity jackets, helmets, and hoodies.

On April 22, the Gucci x Major League Baseball collaboration will only be available on the Gucci Vault. While little has been revealed about the collection so far, Gucci and Vault have released some sneak peeks for fashionistas to enjoy.

Gucci teased followers with a recent Instagram video leading up to the debut. Gucci models are photographed and dressed in the brand’s signature while “dropping” items and displaying a select number of models from the desired collection. Gucci gave a preview of the collection by showcasing matte baseball caps, giant plush hoodies, varsity jackets, and python leather baseball caps in the video.

History of Gucci x MLB:

While this collaboration may seem brand new, it will be Gucci’s second time giving MLB a haute couture makeover. Alessandro Michele, Gucci’s creative director, has had a long partnership with MLB.

Gucci introduced for the first time USALB’s collaboration at the Fall/Winter 2018 show included a stylish selection of jackets, caps, and accessories featuring the MLB logo. In 2019, followed by the limited edition New York Yankee capsule collection.

The Gucci x Yankees capsule collection features baseball caps and fall-ready items like jackets, cardigans, leggings, scarves, slippers, and even leather bags, all of which featuring classic Yankees and Gucci logos.

The Italian designer has been spotted wearing baseball caps, usually New York Yankees, which have been his favorite in recent years. Although the Yankees are said to be Michele’s favorite club, the runway show designs also featured teams like the San Francisco Giants and others.
