Gyanvapi case:Muslim body’s arguments to be heard today | India News


VARANASI: Complying with May 20 Supreme Court by order, the Varanasi district court judge Ajay Krishna Vishvesha will restart Monday’s hearing on the arguments of Anjuman Intezamia Masjid (PURPOSE) – the mosque management committee – challenge the maintainability of the case seeking permission to offer prayers to Shringar Gauri and other gods in the Gyanvapi mosque premises.
The district court is also likely to consider the leak of the court-mandated Gyanvapi mosque survey video in this case after the court presented it to the four plaintiffs on May 30.
District government advisor (civil) Mahendra Prasad Pandey told TOI, “Arguments by AIM proponents challenging the viability of case 693/2021 were not completed when the hearing on it took place on May 30. The hearing followed. in this case the district court will begin again with the arguments of AIM advocates on the issue of maintainability.”
