UN report on climate change warns of ‘catastrophe avalanche’

The United Nations says time is running out to fight climate change.

Extreme weather events will only get worse unless the world acts now to ensure a future worth living.

Over the past 10 years, the number of deaths from droughts, floods and storms in vulnerable areas has increased 15 times.

All this happened as the major oil companies made record profits.

So why do governments still subsidize fossil fuels with billions of dollars?

And why has the developed world failed to help poorer nations cope with global warming?
