“He went to Los Angeles, he made his deal”
While the NBA is in the middle Kevin Durant news cycle, LA Lakers‘ LeBron James has somehow been compared to the star. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith shared his thoughts on recent developments in Brooklyn.
After almost two months of finding out how brooklyn network will handle the Kevin Durant situation, both parties have agreed to run again. This may come as a shock, as some people have seen results after Durant made his claim.
In Tuesday’s statement announcing Durant’s return, the team said Durant, the coach Steve Nashowner Joe Tsai and general manager Sean Marks met on Monday.
Over the past two months, new criticisms of Durant have surfaced, and the media has pointed out how he has no intention of doing the deal.
A year ago, Durant signed a 4-year, $198 million contract extension with the Nets in hopes of taking them to the championship. However, after a difficult season, he asked for a trade on June 30. Smith compared Durant’s moves to those of James’ career.
“Ultimately, you can’t be a star in this league, forcing you to leave one franchise after another. That’s bad for the game.” Smith said. “We lamented about LeBron James in the past. We were all worried. LeBron James never despised a contract.
“He’s signed with Cleveland, and he’s honored. He departed from Cleveland for Miami; he was honored. He came back to Cleveland from Miami; he was honored. He was. went to Los Angeles; he honored his deal. So we had to give credit when credit was due.”
LeBron James is still a role model for many
For many young NBA fans, they consider LeBron James the greatest player ever. To most people, he is one of the great players and they appreciate what he did for the game of basketball.
The ability to stay with the team that signed him helped him break records. Additionally, this attitude has made him the highest-earning player in NBA history, amounting to half a billion dollars.
James has been criticized for the way he failed to win all the Finals he has been in. But some might overlook his other accomplishments. For example, this upcoming season, he will become the all-time top scorer in NBA history. He will break the record that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has had for decades.
James is truly a talent of the generation, and his impact on the court will not be overlooked. Plus, he can inspire future NBA stars to do better on the court to be better human beings.
