England team captain Heather Knight on Friday said that she has undergone an operation and as a result she will miss the upcoming series against India, which includes three ODIs and three T20I. Knight previously missed the Commonwealth Games and now she says it’s time to make the most of “a bit of time”. Taking to Twitter, Knight posted a photo of herself in the hospital and she was seen giving a thumbs up.
“Surgery. I had to wash off my hip a little bit to get back up and running soon. Unfortunately that got me out of the Indian series and WBBL, but I’m aiming to be back later this year. .Time to take a moment and put in rehab,” Knight tweeted.

The series between India and the UK will begin on September 10. First, three T20Is will be broadcast and then the focus will shift to ODI.
Earlier, the British team was unable to win a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games because this team could not beat New Zealand.
Harmanpreet Kaur-led Team India defeated England to enter the gold medal match.
