It feels like just yesterday we’re grabbing the keys to a new world Ford F-150 Raptor R 2023 for our test drive at Silver Lake, but after-sales moving at the pace of demand, and Hennessey Performance reckons there’s a need for a 1,000-horsepower upgrade package for the Blue Oval’s new screamer. Meet the VelociRaptoR 1000. Yes, it’s as silly as you think.

Hennessey doesn’t have a final power figure yet, but the goal is clear: four digits or (or maybe a little more). Thanks to the GT500, this engine is already popular with builders like Hennessey, which may help explain how quickly their team turned this around. VelociRaptoR 1000 throws F-150 Raptor Hennessey says the R’s 2.65-litre supercharger gets precedence over the 3.8-litre head unit which comes with a high-flow intake system, larger fuel injectors, upgraded fuel lines and new supercharger belts, Hennessey said.
Seems wise, it’s actually reasonably sedating. You’ll get bolted bumpers and LED lighting, plus 20″ wheels wrapped in 37″ tires (factory diameter). Hennessey said each person will leave the store with a sign commemorating its number.
