Hertz adds Polestar 2 to Australian fleets
Hertz adding Polestar 2 electric cars for their rental fleet in Australia, based on a large global order.

Hertz’s global order for 65,000 cars from Polestar over the next five years is part of the rental company’s efforts to provide the largest fleet of EV rental vehicles in North America and one of the largest in the world. the world’s largest.
Hertz has not confirmed the first place Polestar car will be based in Australia, but the first Model 3s are in Adelaide and Canberra.
Both will be promoting with Toyota Yaris Cross, Corolla, camry, RAV4and Kluger hybrid (with Subaru Forester hybrid) as part of the Hertz Green Collection.
Hertz isn’t the only rental company pushing the electric car sector in Australia.
Europcar in 2021 announced that they will add 40 examples of MG ZS EV for its fleet in Melbourne, as it strives to make one-third of its global fleet electric or plug-in hybrid by the end of 2023.
Despite dipping her foot into the electric car waters in Australia, Hertz has made a more active commitment to the electric vehicle revolution overseas.
They have ordered 100,000 Tesla Model 3s in 2021, of which 50,000 will be made available to driver-sharing (Uber, Lyft) rentals in the US.
The latest global Polestar order isn’t of the same size, but is still for 65,000 vehicles over five years. Most of them will be Polestar 2, but some will be unreleased models.
