High-speed chase on Highway 401 follows jewelry robbery in Belleville: police – Kingston

A piece of Freeway 401 in Belleville was affected by a high-speed chase over the weekend after a theft, native police say.

Belleville police say a person entered the shop, assaulted an worker, and stole jewellery from a Dundas Road East retailer at round 10:40 a.m. on Saturday.

The worker suffered minor accidents, police say.

The person fled in a dark-coloured Chevrolet sedan, ending up on Freeway 401, with police in pursuit.
