Original article (Friday September 23, 2022 02:55 BST): Accessory maker Hori has revealed that it’s teaming up with The Pokémon Company to release a Pokémon-themed Split Pad Fit.
In case you missed, these Joy-Con-like controllers are the sequel to Hori’s Switch Split Pad Pro and are officially releasing here in the west as the Switch Split Pad Compact. They will be available here in two different colors, but in Japan there are four – and now there are even more options to choose from!
Hori is offering two new sets – including a pair of Pikachu and Mimikyu, and another featuring Gengar.
The Switch Split Pad Fit / Compact controls feature an ergonomic design, full-size analog stick, buttons and a D-Pad. Unfortunately, they do not include motion control, HD Rumble, NFC, IR camera or wireless functions.
Locally offered colors include Light Gray x Yellow and Dream red. They cost $49.99 USD each according to the official Hori USA website and are expected to arrive in US stores next month.
