‘House of the Dragon’ premiere crashes HBO Max, Amazon Points Network – The Hollywood Reporter

Dragon’s House lived up to its predecessor, Game of Thrones – The series premiere on Sunday crashed an app to watch the show.

HBO subscribers took to Twitter to complain about not being able to watch the premiere of the highly anticipated fantasy series due to technical problems presumably caused by a large number of viewers. According to DownDetector.com, the crash affected at least 3,000 viewers.

But an HBO spokesperson said the problem appeared to be with viewers connecting via Amazon devices.

Dragon’s House is being watched successfully by millions of HBO Max subscribers tonight,” HBO said in a statement. “We know a small portion of users attempting to connect via Fire TV devices are experiencing issues and are working on a resolution for those affected users.”

The problem could be that Fire TV is quite ironic since Amazon is also making an upcoming fantasy TV series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – a program that many people are positioning as Dragon ‘big rival of.

Similar HBO connection difficulties have occurred before with the premiere of the sequel of Game of Thrones.

Dragon’s House chronicles the civil war that divided Westeros nearly 200 years before the events in Game of Thrones. For more insider behind-the-scenes details on Dragon’s Houseunderstand The Hollywood ReporterRecent in-depth cover story of: “Inside Dragon’s House. “
