Next, jump into the Sunday evening routine of Stella Simona — visionary co-founder of Haati Chai and Amarilo jewels.

Do you have people in your life that you call friends but you’ve never actually met them in person? The same, similar. I met countless people who were almost digital friends in the months (sometimes longer) before we did IRL. For a multitude of mistakes, Instagram is truly a great platform for making friends and cultivating friendships, not to mention the ability to access professional relationships that weren’t available before. My real-world friendship with Stella Simona started this way as a network connection. I was immediately drawn to her minimal, streamlined, and slow-paced approach to skincare, style and home. When we finally met at an event a few years ago, she was just as warm as her taste, and her beauty was captivating.

When she doesn’t sway us with her skincare advice, Simona is the visionary behind the jewelry lines, Haati Chai and Amarilo. Drawing on her heritage, culture and journey of self-discovery, each piece is designed to be a daily heirloom passed down from generation to generation. With 113k followers on Instagram, Simona sees her platform as a space for more than just beauty. It also became a podium to spread awareness about the issues and organizations close to her heart that proved profit and purpose can coexist in business.

With so much on her plate (and two thriving sons), we wanted to learn more about Simona’s Sunday relaxation routine that helped her have a successful week. Keep reading to discover her weekend rituals, including how she enjoys meal prep, candles, and soothing music.

What time does your Sunday evening workflow start and why?

My Sunday evenings usually start around 9pm, right after I put my sons to bed. As a mother and businesswoman, I lead a busy life which is why I always prioritize time for myself through my evening routine.

What’s the first thing you do to help you relax on a Sunday night?

I turn on some pleasant music. This immediately helped me mentally shift gears. I usually run around with my family and kids on Sundays and this music is the start of my personal Sunday evenings.

Please guide us through your Sunday evening work routine from start to finish.

After turning on the music, I light a candle and pour a warm cup of tea. After setting the ambience, I proceeded to clean my bedroom. This requires sorting through my closet and the miscellaneous items lying around. Being mindful and conscious of my space and surroundings is essential to my creativity, productivity, and rest. After finishing the cleaning, I relax with a relaxing bath and beauty treatment.

I love using Lord Jones bath salts in my bath water — it smells so nice and leaves my skin soft while relaxing my entire body. I also put on a hydrating mask in the shower. My favorite mask right now is the True Botanicals Resurfacing Moisture Mask. After showering, I take a quick shower and apply the Josie Maran Body Scrub to remove all the dead skin. Then, I pat my skin dry with a towel so it stays damp while I condition. I use whatever product I use on my upper body because I find this helps my skin look its best. I started with Erborian Yuza Double Lotion and then Laneige Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer all over from head to toe. Then, I apply Oak Essentials Ritual Oil on my face and Klur Elements of Comfort on my body. Some evenings, I end up with a face and neck massage with the ReFa 4 Carat Body Instrument.

All of these rituals help me reset and set the tone for next week.

Did you get the question Sunday? If so, how do you deal with them?

Nothing. I feel comfortable every Sunday and I’m very intent on making sure I have a really comfortable schedule on this day. Overall, I’m optimistic about last week. I love my life and what I do. I always make it a priority to put on my plate what I can handle so I don’t get to the point of feeling overwhelmed. On Sunday, I sit down and organize my schedule for the week ahead, leaving me feeling in control and excited about what’s to come. I always schedule some tasks related to work and personal life that I know I will find interesting and this really helps to feel positive on a daily basis.

Do you work on Sunday nights?

Aside from my schedule, I don’t work on Sundays. We don’t acknowledge the fact that our bodies need rest to be happy and productive, so that’s why I committed to my Sunday off to do just that.

Things you should do never What to do on Sunday night?

Make sure you focus on your Sunday recharge.

Never stay up too late. Going to bed on time will allow you to feel energized for the week ahead.

Try not to talk to many people in the evening. You want to focus on your introverted self because the coming week could very well bring in a lot of meetings, calls, etc.

Do not eat poorly, you need to eat well so that you do not feel sluggish and in a great mood.

What’s on your nightstand?

My nightstands are always kept to a minimum.

I have something for my lips and a wonderfully scented body oil that relaxes me — Klur Elements of Comfort Oil, and Summer Fridays Lip Balm Vanilla Beige.

Do you watch TV/movies on Sunday night? What are you watching right now?

Actually, I don’t. These days I don’t know anything about what’s on TV.

Have you prepared any meals for next week? If so, walk us through it.

Correct. I love meal prep because it makes my week more enjoyable. I usually choose a few main veggies and two proteins like asparagus, chickpeas, potatoes, eggs and salmon, then I chop and season everything and put it in the fridge for three to four days. in Week. One day of the week we ordered takeout for the family. Knowing in advance what you’re eating is helpful, and more importantly, we don’t get to the point of feeling hungover when we’re busy working and running around — that’s one less thing to worry about.

Do you have a favorite bedding that you love for a better night’s sleep?

Whatever makes the sheets really soft and as long as I have a fresh set of sheets in my bed, I will have the most comfortable sleep.

What book are you reading right now and would you recommend reading it on Sunday night to prepare for last week?

I am currently listening to an audiobook called Green light by Matthew McConaughey, where he shares his outlook on life and what he’s learned from them. He considers it the love letter of a lifetime — I would certainly say it’s a good Sunday.

Do you put your phone on your bed or avoid social media? What are your social/technological hygiene habits?

No, I actually put my phone in another room during bedtime. I also block specific hours of the day when I leave my phone in another room away from my home so I can be more present.
