According to experts, Chinese brands will soon account for 90% of the market share.
Myself – owned by China BBK Electronics – sold about 1.1 million smartphone units in the first half of 2022, while it recorded sales of 4,98,000 units last year during the same period, according to figures provided by Marvel Distribution. Poco – a sub-brand from Xiaomi – recorded a growth of 16% year-on-year, while Nokia – owned by Finland’s global HMD – also recorded growth of more than 40% this year.

According to a recent report from Counterpoint Research, Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo and Huawei accounted for 61% of the smartphone market share in terms of sales as of May 2022.
