How the loss of Apple and Samsung has become the gain of Xiaomi and Realme in Russia

After years of dominance in the Eurasian region, Chinese smartphone makers are seeing massive growth in Russia within the next few months Apple and SAMSUNGwithdrew from the market in the context of Russia’s attack on Ukraine. According to experts, Chinese brands will soon account for 90% of the market share.

Apple and Samsung lost market share after withdrawing
Even other Chinese brands, including Vivo, Tecno, Infinix and iTel, are making their presence in the market.
Meanwhile, Apple and Samsung are on a downward trend after they pulled out of the market earlier this year. The Cupertino giant recorded a 14% drop in market share while Samsung’s market share fell 15%.
According to a recent report from Counterpoint Research, Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo and Huawei accounted for 61% of the smartphone market share in terms of sales as of May 2022.
However, the Russian smartphone market did not perform as well as last year even though Chinese brands registered some big numbers. So far, about 10 million smartphones have been sold this year, 23% less than the same period last year.
