Pokemon Violet and Scarlet full New Pokemon in the Paldea region for players to explore and capture. One of those new Pokemon is Charcadet, a small red knight-like Pokemon that can be quite powerful. Charcadet can evolve into Armarouge, a Fire/Psychic Pokemon, in Scarlet, or into Creuledge, a Fire/Ghost Pokemon, in Violet. Regardless of which version you’re playing, you’ll need a special item to evolve the Charcadet.
Where to find Charcadet
As for finding Charcadet, the Pokedex entry lists its habitat as most of the southern half of Paldea. Personally, I find them easiest to find in South Providence Area 3, located just east of Mesagoza. They can be difficult to spot due to their small stature, but the bright red color makes them a little easier to spot. You can also consume some foods that increase your chances of catching fire-type Pokemon to aid this effort.
To develop Charcadet, you must go to Zapapico, located in the eastern half of Paldea in the central part. It is located to the west of the Lurking Steel Titan challenge area. Here you have to find a man in a plaid shirt looking to trade. In Scarlet, you have to trade 10 Piece Bronzor Because Auspicious armor and in Violet you have to trade 10 Sinistea French fries Because toxic armor.
Both of these Pokemon can be found very early in the game, albeit in very limited areas. These crafting items, commonly used to generate TMs, drop whenever you defeat one in battle in the wild, so follow up with a group and use the auto-battle to knock them down quickly. Once you’ve got the 10 required items, exchange the man for armor. The armor works like other evolution items, but it will be consumed after use. There is no level requirement to develop Charcadet.
If you are looking for development of another version of Charcadet, there are several methods to do so. You can trade a friend for an evolved version of Charcadet from any version of the game you don’t have. You can also ask a friend to give the armor set to a random Pokemon to keep and exchange for that Pokemon. Friend can not join a co-op session with a friend who is playing another versionas the NPC will still give you the same evolution item as your version of the game.
