LeBron James may be about to renew his contract with LA Lakers, which will see him continue with the franchise for another two years. With a two-year extension under NBA regulations, his hope of playing with his son, Bronny James, may come true.

With reports of his contract renewal talks going smoothly, the four-time NBA champion will stay at the Lakers until 2024. Many have wondered if James, who will turn 38 at the end of December, will it come into effect at 40 or whether he will continue. His career is over 40.
On the “Road Trippin'” podcast, Richard Jefferson said he believes the Lakers lead still has one more stop in his career. Will James be able to come back? Cleveland CavaliersJefferson, who won the NBA title in 2016 with that franchise, is uncertain. But Jefferson is sure the 18-time All-Star has one more stop after Los Angeles.
“I believe he has one more stop,” Jefferson said. “I don’t know where. Is he back in Cleveland? All I’m saying, I believe he has one more possible landing.”
Can LeBron James and LA Lakers compete for the 2023 NBA championship?
The LA Lakers made changes to their management by hiring new coach Darvin Ham. The franchise’s poor results last season forced the office to make a major change, firing Frank Vogel shortly after the 33-49 season ended.
The signing of Ham has raised hopes of the Laker Nation thinking the team can compete for the championship in the upcoming season. Franchise efforts Russell Westbrook and can sign a contract to protect the Brooklyn Nets Kyrie Irving did not come to a result.
No real staffing changes suggest the Lakers will have a productive season, but the season is still two months away. The Lakers could make some season-defining signings that could make them favorites.
The Lakers are mired in the worst period in their history. Even with the 2020 bubble championship during the shutdown, the franchise has lost seasons in seven of the past nine seasons.
