A weekend in Miami has never failed to lift my spirits. My love for the city has gotten to the point where I visit at least once every season, I always come back for more. Although I enjoyed my stay in South Beach, this time I decided to book a room in Brickell to experience what life in Miami is really like. Highlights of my weekend included my private balcony at the Atwell Suites, a real treat for a New Yorker who dreams of more time outdoors, and the multi-course dinner at Gitano created So a change of pace for Mexican food that I immediately fell in love with. There’s always something going on in this sunny city so I also had to stop by the Miami Open and take a day trip to Key Biscayne.
Activities aside, I feel like people don’t talk enough about fashion in Miami. You see, Miami is a city that is always a few steps ahead of summer trends. While I visited at what could be considered the beginning of spring in New York, the people of Miami were already getting dressed for the summer. After noticing quite a few of my favorite trends among vacationers and city dwellers, I decided to pull out my note-taking app and jot down some stuff. I am officially convinced to buy 6 trends this summer, come shop with me.
