Australian all-around athlete Mitchell Marsh opened up his time with Delhi’s capital city in the recently ended IPL season, saying it was ‘cursed’. However, the almighty bowler admits that he loves his time in the league after recovering from injury and COVID-19.
Marsh, who toured Pakistan ahead of IPL 2022, missed the entire white ball series due to a hip flexor injury. After the game against Royal Challengers Bangalorecomprehensive test results positive for COVID-19.

Talking to cricket.com.au, Mitchell Marsh said he felt cursed during his time in India due to multiple failures. 30 year old man says:
“After the first few weeks there, I thought I was cursed in India. I got over the initial injury – very mild – but then to play a game and get COVID, it was a start. a bit shaky. But once I went, it was nice to put a few consistent performances on the board. I absolutely loved my time there.”
The right-hander played his first match at IPL 2022 against RCB but was unable to advance. As the Capitals chased 190 for the win, Marsh struggled with 24 14 balls as his team missed 16 times on target. He came back with a few appearances and a 62 tackle against the Royals.

The 30-year-old has reflected on his time with Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting, claiming the Australian has instilled confidence in him. Mitchell Marsh added:

“Everybody talks about him a lot and what he’s achieved in the game, but I have a real feeling how much he cares about his players – I guess that might be what he is. He’s like a captain and leader of a team. Just the way he makes you feel – he makes me feel like a really important player for Delhi. You get the confidence from that. when a leader instills you with such confidence.”
The veteran cricketer will be next in a series of three games against T20 Sri Lanka, starting June 7 in Colombo. The almighty also formed the Test and ODI team.
