Independent Spirit Awards 2022 nominees list – The Hollywood Reporter
Film Independent has announced the nominations for the 2022 Independent Spirit Awards.
The nominations were revealed via a video announcement starring Beanie Feldstein, Regina Hall and Naomi Watts.
The independent awards ceremony, traditionally held the Saturday before the Oscars and last year a virtual ceremony (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) broadcast three days before the Oscars, even moved Moved earlier, with the 2022 ceremony set to take place on March 6, just as the final round of voting for the Oscars began. The ceremony will return to its traditional Santa Monica beach venue and be a live event, it was revealed Tuesday morning.
Last year, the Spirit Awards added five television categories to their list of films.
The 37th Annual Cinema Independent Spirit Awards will take place on Sunday, March 6 at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET, airing exclusively on IFC. Winners are chosen by members of Film Independent.
The following is the full list of nominations for the 2022 Film Independent Spirit Awards.
More will come.
