In the same period, 4,100 deaths were also recorded, bringing the total number of deaths to 5,20,855. However, Maharashtra had 4005 more people while Kerala had 79 more deaths due to backlog.
A total of 2,349 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, and the cumulative total of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic is now 4,24,80,436. Hence, India’s recovery rate is 98.75%.

More than 16.41 leftover and unused doses of Covid vaccine are still available in the states and UT, according to the department.
