India records 442 COVID-19 deaths in 24 hours
The number of positives has increased to 9,55,329, accounting for 2.65 percent of the total number of positive cases of the country.
The recovery of 60,405 patients in the last 24 hours brings the cumulative total to 3,46,30,536. Hence, India’s recovery rate is 96.01%.
Also during this time, a total of 17,61,900 inspections were carried out in the whole country. So far, India has carried out more than 69.52 crore accumulation tests.
Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate rose to 9.82% amid a spike in cases. The daily positivity rate is 11.05 percent.
With the administration of more than 85,000 doses of vaccine in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID vaccination coverage has reached 153.80 crore as of Wednesday morning.
The Department of Health said that as of Wednesday morning, more than 16.50 crore balances and unused doses of the COVID vaccine were still available to states and union territories.
