As spotted by Tech4Gamers, several recent filings from Microsoft relating to the UK’s Activision Blizzard acquisition investigation suggest that Wolverine will release in 2023.
In the document, Microsoft noted how PlayStation has “a large catalog of high-quality exclusive content”, arguing that PlayStation will not be greatly affected by the acquisition. Microsoft went on to note a host of exclusive titles coming to the console, saying, “PlayStation also has a bunch of first- and third-party exclusive titles lined up for release. premieres in 2023, including Spider-Man 2, Wolverine, Horizon, Final Fantasy XVI, and Forspoken.”
Insomniac is also developing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and it assured fans just this week that the game will still launch in 2023, but Wolverine doesn’t currently have a release window. That makes taking this title from Microsoft a strange thing. It’s not clear if Microsoft knows something we do, but it’s also possible that there was a misunderstanding of Wolverine’s release date on Microsoft’s part somewhere along the way.
Next, I want to talk about some free games because who doesn’t love free stuff.
For starters, Sims 4 is now free to play for any platform, the game is now available on Switch players.

And if you’re okay with splitting your purchases between multiple stores – and why wouldn’t you when the game free – you can also grab the Microsoft Store version of Fallout 76 from Amazon Prime Gaming. Remember you must be an active Prime member to take advantage of that offer.
While getting code 76, you can also grab a free copy of Middle-earth: Shadow of War that can be redeemed in the GOG Store.
