Interior Honda CR-V 2023 revealed before the launch date 12/7

Honda’s motobike showed the interior of its sixth generation CR-V before the full disclosure of July 12.

Ready tease the front and back head part of its mid-size SUV and the image has been leaked out of China.

The new one CR-V follow civic in offering a dashboard with clean lines and a distinctive honeycomb patterned insert that runs from the steering wheel to the passenger door, disguising the air vents.

There is what appears to be a full digital instrument cluster, with a view that simulates analog gauges. Civic offers 10.25-inch digital display overseas.

Touch screen for larger infotainment system. The current model has a rather small 7.0-inch screen, while the new Civic is sold here with a 9.0-inch screen.

Honda says it will soon launch vehicles with Android Automotive embedded in it, though it’s not yet clear if the CR-V will be accepted.

The CR-V’s current tablet-style display sits further above the current car’s display, and the gear lever has been moved to the bottom.

The second change gives the CR-V’s dashboard a more car-like (and less MPV-like) look.

The striking model features orange stitching on the gear lever, seats and steering wheel, while attractive-looking metal details can be found on the dashboard and doors.

Other features include a heated steering wheel, heated seats and downhill controls.

Less HR-V North Americaexpected to go on sale in markets like Australia and Europe as the ZR-V, featuring a similar interior design albeit with a sportier-looking center console.

Looking forward to the next generation Fit to follow this new, cleaner design language.

Likewise, previous leaked images of the CR-V show that its exterior design has a cleaner, sharper style.

The CR-V’s signature high-mounted taillights remain the same, but with a flatter surface and sharp lines running the length of the vehicle.

It looks like Honda could offer a sportier-looking variant, as evidenced by earlier trailers showing the CR-V with a black grille.

It’s also bigger – in China, the new CR-V measures 4703mm long, 1866mm wide, 1690mm tall and rides on a 2700mm wheelbase.

This means it’s 68mm longer, 11mm wider, 11mm taller and has a 40mm longer wheelbase than the current car.

For the Chinese market, the new CR-V will be available with five or seven seats and we expect the same for the local model as Honda Australia says the current three-row CR-V is fill in the Odyssey’s seven-seat role at the moment.

With a longer wheelbase, the new CR-V can offer a more spacious third row of seats. The third row of seats of the current car, like the rows of competitors such as Nissan X-TrailBest for infrequent use by young children.

A leaked Chinese government filing shows that the CR-V will offer a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 142kW.

It is combined with a continuously variable transmission and front- or all-wheel drive.

Honda has confirmed the CR-V will offer a hybrid powertrain, like the upcoming model currently available in markets like Europe and the US.

Previously, the company confirmed that all new models launched in the country will have the option of a hybrid powertrain.

The upcoming CR-V Hybrid (not sold in Australia) features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, with total system output of 158kW and 315Nm.

One possible possibility is a plug-in hybrid, as Honda recently introduced one on the CR-V in China.

With the CR-V growing in size, that frees up some space for a third SUV for the local lineup.

Honda Australia has confirmed a will coming in the next 12-18 monthsand it will provide a combo option.

Almost certainly the North American HR-V (aka ZR-V), will be in the middle HR-V ‘global’ sold here alongside the CR-V.
