iOS 16 Lets You See Your Wi-Fi Passwords, Adds Full Screen Music Player to Lock Screen, More


Apple announced iOS 16, the latest version of its software with a number of new features and improvements, at its ongoing Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on Monday. Apple is allowing users to view and manage Wi-Fi passwords stored in iOS 16. It has added a full-screen music player back to the Lock screen, placing the album art in the center with the controls. Besides, in the latest operating system, iPhone users will be able to drag and drop subjects from one photo into other apps or photos.

A dedicated iOS 16 website preview details new features coming to Apple phones running iOS 16. As mentioned, Iphone users can view their saved Wi-Fi passwords in Settings with the latest operating system. They can even copy it to share with friends or family. According to a report by MacRumors, users are required to authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode to view stored passwords.

Besides, Apple is bringing the fullscreen music player back to the Lock Screen with Live Activity. It will give a fresh look by placing the album art in the center and the controls at the bottom. The full-screen music player on the lock screen was previously available on iOS 10. The update allows users to customize the font, color, widget, background image, or position of other elements on the Lock screen. . The full-screen music player may not be available in the first iOS 16 developer beta.

An upgraded Visual Look Up feature allows users to tap and hold on the subject of an image to lift the image out of the background, or isolate the subject by removing the background and placing it in apps like Messages. This function works with screenshots, quick interface and Safari. Apple phones powered by the A12 Bionic processor and newer support this feature.

New iOS 16 also packed improve to the lock screen, focus mode, health app, and notifications that change the way users experience iPhone. Email Scheduling Coming Soon to the Mail app on iOS 16 and Apple Maps added support for 11 other countries. ‌IOS 16‌ is currently in beta testing with developers. The public beta is expected to arrive next month.
