IPL 2022: Rishabh Pant begins quarantine in Mumbai
Delhi Capital (DC) captain Rishabh Pant arrived in Mumbai on the Wednesday before the upcoming date IPL 2022. The 24-year-old is currently undergoing a 3-day quarantine before stepping on the pitch to begin preparatory activities with the rest of the team.
Pant began an intriguing campaign in the Test series against Sri Lanka, where he was adjudged as Player of the series. The goalie hitter scored 96 points in Mohali and followed by two key spots in the Pink Ball Test in Bengaluru.
The 15th edition of the IPL will mark Pant’s second season as captain of the Delhi Capitals. He was appointed captain in the first leg of the IPL 2021 following the injury of Shreyas Iyer. The brand chose to continue with the youngster at the helm even after Iyer’s return in the second leg.
A glimpse of the captain’s entry into quarantine was announced by the Capitals on their social media accounts on Thursday.
The franchisor was seen arriving at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel with a few of his teammates. After a friendly greeting in front of the camera and crew, he entered his room to begin his mandatory three-day quarantine period.
On Wednesday, Pant also shared a clip of him spending time with his franchise teammates Akshar Patel and Mandeep Singh.
