The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) announced on Monday, June 13, that it has entered the annual NASA space applications hackathon, a global hackathon, in this year. The contest is called Space Applications Challenge 2022 and will be administered by the Earth Science Division, Science Mission Directorate, at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC. ISRO – NASA Space Apps 2022 Challenge
ISRO posted about the event on its website. According to the post, NASA held its first annual global hackathon that began in 2012. The aim of the contest was to “present innovative solutions to real-world challenges using real data. economy from space”, according to NASA Event Page. In addition to ISRO, the Space Apps 2022 challenge will also feature the space agencies of Australia, Brazil, Canada, Europe (ESA), Japan, Argentina, Bahrain, Paraguay, South Africa and more. “The two-day event inspires collaboration, creativity and critical thinking, fueling an interest in Earth and space science and discovery. The goal of the event is to raise awareness of NASA/ISRO open data, foster interest in earth and space science technologies, and encourage and nurture interest in STEAM among generations young,” ISRO stated in the post.
“ISRO is inviting programmers, entrepreneurs, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, artists and technologists to participate in the 11th annual hackathon. 2 day hackathon, participants from around the world will form teams and use Earth observation data to develop solutions to problems facing our world ,” it added.

Once done, you will be able to sign up using the same link.
