Jailbreak 2022 Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcat Redeye models add extra power, personalization options

Another year, another round of Hellcat news. You would think that the folks at Stellantis are running out of names for the next variants at this point, but don’t worry. Allow us to introduce you to 2022 Dodge Charger and The Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody Unlocking.

Everything in that name before “Jailbreak” is old news, so let’s find out what Jailbreak means in Avoid speak. The most important factor is that it basically allows you to go beyond custom views, unlocking a truly amazing amount of potential personalization combinations. From a performance standpoint, it means 10 more horsepower from the 6.2-liter turbocharged V8. Yes, Jailbreak versions of charger and Challenger Redeye will each have 807 horsepower instead of 797 horsepower. For anyone checking the spec sheets, it’s just a smaller horse demon performed on pumped gas. Yeeaw, America, right?

However, the customization options are what Dodge really emphasizes with this new jailbreak model. Basically, if any of Dodge’s walls prevent you from picking a number colour/ wheels / stripes / former interior, as if they were knocked down. Pick any color from the book, then combine with your choice of wheels, stripes, brake caliper color, badge finish, seat, seat belt color and Carpet colour. It’s a small taste of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur in a reasonably affordable Hellcat.

Tim Kuniskis, Dodge CEO has offered to join the new show.

“For those looking for a unique look, we’re giving customers free use of our styling archives,” says Kuniskis. “We’re taking most of the parts and components we’ve been using for years, adding a few new ones, and letting the customer create their own ‘One of One’. So if you are dreaming about owning a Stinger Yellow Challenger with Brass Monkey wheels, Hammerhead gray seats, blue Brembo and red badging, I’m not sure we should, but we’ll build it for you. “

There are a number of options that were not available before, which will now be exclusive to Jailbreak models. These include Hammerhead Gray leather seats, Hammerhead Gray floor mats, gray/sepia/red seat belts, copper woven fabric carbon fiber trim, blue and yellow brake calipers and more.

And if you can’t decide, Dodge has come up with a few pre-made options and named them. The F8 Green Challenger that you see in the images here is called Old School Challenger Jailbreak, and Hellraisin Charger named Brass Funky Charger. Dodge doesn’t provide a photo, but other options include Red Dawn, The Classic and Yin Yang.

Aside from the theoretically weird color combinations you can think of, there’s nothing on the surface to indicate your Redeye is a Jailbreak pattern. However, the interior has a small “Jailbreak” badge on the passenger side of the dashboard.

Dodge says the jailbreak package will add $995 to the car’s price, but didn’t say how much each individual customization option would cost. Even if you don’t do much, the bragging rights of 10 additional horsepower could be worth $995. Customer orders for Jailbreak cars are expected to start arriving authorized dealer by the end of 2021.
