Just a few hours later, it appeared that Raquel had moved out.
The two moved into an apartment in Los Angeles together in 2018, according to Bravo, and got engaged in May 2021. Following the split, Raquel shared footage on her Instagram Story of her being Pack your things and put them in a storage room. “Like my dad said…my new home,” she quipped.
The pair have had some tough moments in the past, including some issues with her family, as seen on the show. Raquel’s sister Kate told her on the October 19 episode, “I just don’t want to see you in a situation where you have to fix his problems.”
Raquel said: “I never thought I was trying to fix James’ condition; I just thought I was trying to help my fiancé. But Kate wasn’t always supportive of James and the relationship. my relationship because of James’ drinking.” She shared, “She’s my big sister, and she’ll always protect me.”
Also in the episode, James recalls how Kate’s reaction was different from his family’s. “My family was very open-minded and loved Raquel from the start,” he said. “But for me, with the Raquel family, it’s been a bit more of a journey.”
