Jamie Lee Curtis thinks cosmetic procedures are ‘wiping out a generation of beauty’
In a recently published interview with Fast Company, the “Halloween Kills” star was requested about her ideas on cosmetic surgery and Hollywood’s altering magnificence requirements.
“I attempted cosmetic surgery and it did not work. It acquired me hooked on Vicodin,” Curtis stated. “I am 22 years sober now.”
“The present pattern of fillers and procedures, and this obsession with filtering, and the issues that we do to regulate our look on Zoom are wiping out generations of magnificence,” she added. “When you mess along with your face, you may’t get it again.”
Curtis has talked about her journey to sobriety earlier than.
In 2019, she was featured in Variety’s Recovery issue and stated she had “routine surgical procedure” after a camerman stated “I am not capturing her at present. Her eyes are too puffy.”
“I used to be so mortified and so embarrassed and had simply a lot disgrace about it that after that film, I went and had routine cosmetic surgery to take away the puffiness,” said Curtis, who defined she’d had puffy eyes since childhood. “They gave me Vicodin as a painkiller for one thing that wasn’t actually painful.”
