In a statement released after the settlement was reached, Giuffre said: “I have long believed I was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein to Alan Dershowitz. However, I was very young at the time, it was a very stressful and traumatic environment, and Mr Dershowitz has consistently denied these allegations from the start.
Giuffre added: “I now realize that I may have made a mistake in identifying Mr Dershowitz.
But after Dershowitz did a series of media interviews to argue that his name has now been removed, Giuffre told The Daily Beast: “I was shocked to learn that Alan Dershowitz was making a statement. that our dismissal of each other’s lawsuits somehow ‘vindicated’ him.”
Giuffre added: “Preventing false accusations against me and ensuring Mr Dershowitz’s public acknowledgment of my goodwill is important to me and my family. “However, I did not, and will never, ‘forgive’ Mr Dershowitz in return.”
