Jen Shahassistant of, Stuart Smith, changed his confession.
An employee in the office of Judge Sidney H. Stein confirmed to E! News that Smith changed his defense during a hearing on Friday, November 19. In March, the previous reality TV star was arrested for allegedly participating in a scheme telemarketing plan.
Based on Everyone, Smith read out a written statement during the hearing in which he said, “I knowingly and knowingly discussed and engaged with other individuals to develop a plan or activity to obtain funds by falsely represent by soliciting and enticing individuals, many of whom are over the age of 50, to provide funds to organizations with which I and others are associated.”
Smith added that he later discovered that “these telemarketing companies misled their customers by selling individuals, many of whom were over 50 years old, targeted information.” The aim is a service to enhance their business opportunities.”
