Jets’ Pierre-Luc Dubois Accepts One Year, $6 Million QO

On Friday, Winnipeg Jets announced that it had agreed to terms with limited free agent Pierre-Luc Dubois on a one-year, $6 million deal.

The Jets and Dubois have had an inconspicuous relationship since they acquired him from the Columbus Blue Jackets in the Patrik Laine deal last year.

Last month, Dubois reported announced to the Jets that he plans to test the open market in 2024 when he can become an unrestricted freelance agent, rather than negotiate a long-term extension with the team.

During his first full season with the Jets, Dubois posted 60 points (28 goals, 32 assists) in 81 regular-season games, one point away from the peak of his career in 2018-19.

The Blue Jackets picked Dubois with a third overall pick in the 2016 NHL draft. Dubois made his NHL debut the following year, continuing to play parts of four seasons in Columbus. He scored 159 points (66 goals, 93 assists) in 239 games for the Blue Jackets.

In half a season playing for the Jets, Dubois had 80 points (36 goals, 44 assists) in 122 games.
