Joe Mixon makes bold statement ahead of play-off
The Bengals (12-4) are one of the hottest teams in the league when it comes to the knockout stages. However, RB Joe Mixon believe they are the best.
“We’re the big dogs of the AFC and everyone knows that,” Mixon told reporters. “We’ll take everyone’s best picture, but they’d better be ready to take our picture.”
It’s a bold statement to make before the knockout rounds begin, but the Bengals have backed their word with their play all season.
Cincinnati is seventh in points per game (26.1) and eighth in total yards per game (360.5), according to ESPN.com. Even so, the Chiefs and Bills both rank in the top two spots in each category.
Team Bengal defeated the Captain 27-24 in Week 13, but they are yet to win a shot at the Bills due to their Week 17 match being cancelled.
Cincinnati takes on Baltimore for the first time in a wild card round where it likebut Mixon’s comment goes beyond that for every other team in the AFC.
“It could be bulletin board material to anyone, but facts are facts,” Mixon added. “We know when we’re on the pitch, nobody’s going to touch us if we’re playing.”
The Bengali can simply shoot at the Bills, and you should trust that they will also win the best of the others.
