Authorities say actor Jonathan Majors was arrested Saturday in New York on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment.
New York City police say Majors, star of “Creed III” and recently released “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania,” was involved in a family dispute with a 30-year-old woman. year old. Police responded around 11 a.m. to a 911 call inside an apartment in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.
A spokesperson for the NYPD said in a statement: “The victim has informed police that she has been assaulted. “Officers detained the 33-year-old man without incident. The victim suffered minor head and neck injuries and was taken to an area hospital in a stable condition.”
He is no longer in police custody as of Saturday night, an NYPD spokesperson confirmed to the Associated Press.
A representative for Majors denied any wrongdoing by the actor.

Majors is one of the fastest rising stars in Hollywood.
