Judge admonishes prosecutor over Rittenhouse cross-examination
Kyle Rittenhouse testified that when he selected a gun for his pal, Dominick Black, to buy for him, he chosen an AR-15 over a pistol as a result of he believed he couldn’t legally possess a pistol, and thought the AR-15 “appeared cool.”
“So that you’re telling us that the motive that you simply wished Dominic to purchase you an AR-15 as opposed to a pistol… the one motive is since you felt you could not lawfully possess a pistol?” requested prosecutor Thomas Binger.
“Right,” responded Rittenhouse.
“You did not pick the AR-15 for every other motive?” continued Binger.
“I believed it appeared cool, however, no,” responded Rittenhouse.
Rittenhouse then agreed with the prosecutor that he had not bought the weapon to hunt, or for residence residence safety, once more saying he, “thought it appeared cool if that is a motive.”
Rittenhouse then took problem with the prosecutor’s suggestion that he may need chosen the AR-15 as a result of comparable weapons seem in first-person shooter video video games, saying “there are weapons in video video games that resemble all weapons.”
“It is only a online game,” he mentioned later within the change. “It is not actual life.”
