Asked how frustrated he felt at the disparity in performance, Klopp said: “You want to know on a scale of 1 to 10? 12. Very, very very because the performance was a failure. That’s why we had to figure it out.
“Obviously the result is important for us. I wanted to get the three points, but I would love more to play really well, to be honest. We didn’t do that.
“It’s my responsibility to figure out why last Saturday we played a surprisingly good game when we were in pre-season and seven days later we looked like completely upside down. That doesn’t make sense. I’m telling you right now but I’m really just thinking about it.”
