Jury hears opening statements in ‘Unite the Right’ trial
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. —
Jurors have heard opening statements in a civil lawsuit that accuses white nationalists of conspiring to commit violence on the “Unite the Proper” demonstrations in Charlottesville in 2017.
A lead legal professional for 9 people who find themselves suing, claiming bodily and emotional accidents, advised the jury that the white nationalists deliberate the violence for months forward of the rally.
However a lawyer for rally organizer Jason Kessler advised the jury that the net communications relied on by the plaintiffs’ attorneys are protected by the First Modification.
A whole lot of white nationalists descended on Charlottesville Aug. 11-12, 2017, ostensibly to protest metropolis plans to take away a statue of Accomplice Gen. Robert E. Lee.
