Justin Herbert’s haircut: A look back at Chargers QB’s unfortunate mane failure

A message for Justin Herbert: Keep up with the flow.

Herbert is known for two things: his dynamic play on the field for the charger and his even more dynamic hair inside that helmet. So when he took off the catchy locks just over a year ago in 2020, it left NFL fans in disarray.

Make no mistake that Herbert’s long hair suits the look much better than Tom Brady’s unfortunate mid-length or Aaron Rodgers’ John Wick hairstyle.

Just like when Clark Kent put on his glasses, Herbert looked like a completely different person after a haircut (unfortunately) robbed him of his mature, perfume-pattern look and aged him by about 10 years.

Let’s take a look at the Bom event:

Justin Herbert haircut

On November 18, 2020, the Chargers passerby’s gaze changed from “the dragon-shooting, QB rocket-shooting franchise” to “the usual high school bully in a live-action movie.” on DVD”.

See for yourself:

Somehow, Herbert went from being a grown man to “Yes, sir, I’ll get your daughter home by 10 p.m.” in one sitting on the barber’s chair.

However, the “barber’s chair” can be a bit loose: As it turns out, Herbert had his ears lowered by coach John Lott on Los Angeles strength and conditioning. Herbert said that Lott assured him that he “good with trimmer.”

“I think he did a great job. I’m not looking for anything fancy. I’m just looking for someone to cut it,” Herbert said in 2020. “It seems like I’m doing it out of superstition, but honestly it’s been way too long.”

Luckily for Herbert, he didn’t have to worry about Samson-like effects after his haircut: Before the haircut, Herbert threw 2,333 yards, 19 touchdowns and six interceptions for LA in eight games (ranked). 102.8 passers-by). After his haircut, he threw for 2,003 yards, 12 touchdowns and 4 interceptions in 7 games, and his passer rating dropped to 93.7.

Interestingly, after the haircut, Herbert was caught wearing a hat more often than not, when before the haircut, he let his hair drift.

Before Herbert was selected number 6 overall by the Chargers in the 2020 NFL Draft, he was selected by Head & Shoulders as one of the hair care brand’s newest ambassadors.

Hopefully that relationship is still going strong.
