SEOUL – South Korean actor Lee Min-ho thanked countless fans around the world for the birthday wishes and gifts that filled a room.
The K-idol, who turned 36 last Thursday, posted on social media a video and photos of himself in a room filled with gifts. He wrote in Korean, “Today was not a special day at first, but it has become even more special thanks to all of you. Thank.”
Korea’s pounding heart looks both happy and a little embarrassed at the overwhelming amount of gifts. He used one hand to make a half-heart shape to thank the fans at the end of the video.
Lee rose to global fame playing the rich and arrogant Gu Jun-pyo in the hit TV series Meteor Garden (2009), an adaptation of the popular Korean manga of the same name.
This was followed by critical acclaim with award-winning performances in City Hunter (2011) and The Heirs (2013), earning him the Chinese nickname Nan Shen.
Last seen as a mysterious fish broker in the historical drama Pachinko (2022 to present), Lee will star in the upcoming sci-fi melodrama Ask The Stars alongside the actress. Korean member Gong Hyo-jin.
