Kentucky declares ‘KentrUCKy Day’ ahead of new Ford Super Duty reveal



Got a new one Ford F-Series Super Duty was revealed on Tuesday night, and the state of Kentucky is acting against the chill about it. In fact, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has just declared September 27, 2022 as “KentrUCKy Day.” No, we’re not joking. Even KFC got in on the action by introducing a new bucket design “Kentrucky Fried Chicken”. Behind the new crate is a trailer for the new Super Duty’s grille, giving us a glimpse of what’s to come.

Reveal of the redesigned Super Duty will begin at 7:15 p.m. ET tomorrow and it will streaming at Ford’s YouTube channel. Ford is at Churchill Downs (home of the Kentucky Derby) to reveal truckis the right place to show off the new Super Duty – Ford plans to continue building Super Duty at its Kentucky Truck plant in Louisville, KY.

“In honor of the investment made by Ford and the great partnership of Team Kentucky, I have officially declared, September 27, 2022, KentRUCKy Commonwealth Day,” said Governor Beshear. “The people of Kentuckia have been building Ford trucks since the Model T, and we are delighted that this tradition will continue with the all-new Ford F-Series Super Duty.”

As of today, Ford employs 12,000 employees in the state and it plans to hire 5,000 more with BlueOval SK . Battery Park planning for Kentucky.
