Kevin Durant’s injury could put him on the bench
Just a month after his tenure at the Phoenix Suns, Kevin Durant suffered an ankle injury, and there is some speculation surrounding the impact of this injury.
Notably, his new sprain came shortly after he recovered from a knee injury in January, which caused him to miss numerous games against both the Nets and the Suns.
KD slipped during pre-match warm-up
Republic of Arizona reports that KD was spotted walking out of the Footprint Center with a bulky boot on Wednesday, as he injured himself during the warm-up.
The video shows Kevin slipping while preparing for the match. While he is credited with getting up to continue warming up after the fall, GAME reported that he began to notice swelling after entering the dressing room.

As a result of the incident, Republic of Arizona note that more seniors worry that KD may have suffered a 2nd degree sprain, which would lead to a six to nine week recovery time.
When the NBA’s regular season ends on April 9, this injury could put Kevin on the bench for the rest of the time and it could even affect the start of the knockout stages.
However, GAME reports that KD is scheduled for an MRI on Thursday to shed more light on the severity of the injury.
